Ansh Verma earned his Master’s Degree from the School of Mechanical Engineering at Purdue University under Dr. Karthik Ramani in 2015. During his master’s studies he published 6 journal level conference papers on Human Computer Interaction in ACM conferences (CHI, TEI, IDC and UbiComp) and 1 article in the ACM Magazine – ‘Interactions’ in two years. Ziro’s research prototype was his Master’s Thesis.

During his undergraduate studies he was the chief design engineer for his university’s Formula SAE team (800cc open cockpit race vehicle). He subsequently spent his 7th semester (Fall’11) at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in the school of Mechanical Engineering and Computer Science under scholarship from his home university.

While at MIT he worked at the MIT MEDIA LAB under Tod Machover (Inventor of Guitar Hero, 2012 Pulitzer Prize in Music Finalist) and Cynthia Breazeal(Co-founder Jibo) group – Opera of the Future and Personal Robots as an undergraduate mechanical engineer, respectively.

In 2012 he also worked with India’s biggest news broadcasting company – NDTV, as journalist providing assistance in producing friday primetime socio-economic documentaries under Sutapa Deb in New Delhi. He holds a B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from SRM University, Chennai. He has keen interest in emerging technology and has a flair for writing.
